The Mann family is alive and well here in good ol' Utah. We have been blessed in many areas and are loving the life we live.
Our biggest news is that Corey and Skyler will be home within the next month. Corey arrives on the 13th of Nov and Skyler follows on the 10th of Dec. It will be here before we know it! We had planned to have the homecoming on the 13th of Dec, but our out-of-town family couldn't make it so the date has been changed. They will be speaking on the 27th of December, so make sure to mark your calendars. We may be a little crowded but welcome anyone who would like to visit. Christmas in Utah....what a great vacation spot.
As for the rest of the family, we are keeping busy. Kayla seems to keep herself extra busy with several different groups at school. She is in drama and has just returned from Cedar City where she attended a Shakespeare Festival. Their school placed in the top three for quite a few categories. She is also in Chamber Choir and will be busy for the next few months with concerts and performances, including a couple on Temple Square. She is also on the school ballroom team and has enjoyed competing with them. She loves to drive and would like it if I handed over my car to her. Of course, her social life is something else, too!
Jenn has started the masters program at a private college in SLC, where she is majoring in marriage and family therapy. She has really enjoyed the small classroom size and has interacted with people from several different cultures. Getting back into the homework mode has been interesting. She is also looking for a full time job to help with the gas that comes from driving all over the state. She enjoys her institute class, her FHE group, and weekly activities with her favorite group of friends.
I was able to head to Alaska to see Brandon and Sharon in their new area. Anchorage is beautiful and we were able to see some incredible sites. Brandon and I took a 26 glacier cruise, which was beautiful. We saw some rare animals in the wild and also saw many beautiful glaciers. We happened to see one "calving", which means they break off and fall in the water with a very loud crash. It was great fun and I hope to get back there again. I seem to stay busy with school. I am half way there, which makes me very happy. I have enjoyed the change and look forward to finding a great job when I am done.
We are truly blessed and have seen the Lord's hand in our lives many times. Our hearts are full of gratitude for such a wonderful family that is truly a treasure.
