Dear Family:
What fun to receive and to read each of the newsletters.. To see what has happened to you during the past 6 months. Thanks for being so faithful and cooperative in sending your newsletters. We are happy to have another great grandbaby..Zachary (Brooke & Delbert). I hear that he is precious and fits right into the family with his red hair.
Pops and I flew to Salt Lake on July 4th, spent a few days with the Paul Haws family and a few days with the Nancy Mann Family. It was so good to see them!! Then Pops flew back to Mesa and I flew to Sacramento, Marshall picked me up and I spent a week with the Marshall Haws family. Tiffany had had surgery the day before. I came to help take care of the "flock". I was glad that I was available to help. I had many tasks to help with..laundry, dishes, babysitting, reading stories, taking the kids for walks. It was fun to be able to spend time with those precious ones. I also got to see the Dennis Haws family. How fun! Max, Zane and Duke have all gotten taller.
The last of July , we went to Hawsienda..We had some of the family there.. .the Moffitts, the Stewarts, the Jerry Haws and Robert & Lorraine. It was fun to have them there. With some rain, the wildflowers were ablaze with color. Of course, I loved it!! Being at Hawsienda with some of the family, brought back a flood of memories..going hiking, taking walks, picking wildflowers, singing around the campfire and many more. Then we went back to Hawsienda over Labor Day with Robert & Lorraine. More precious days. Close your eyes and see the family singing around the campfire with David Mann on the guitar. Sweet memories.
Pops and I manage to keep busy with Church, Temple and everyday duties. We enjoy having family close by. They are very good to us and we appreciate each one of you keeping in touch. Pops had cataract surgery the first of September. He is having cataract surgery this coming Wednesday on the other eye.
We are so very grateful for our missionary grandsons and the great work they are doing. I know that each one of us pray for their success and safety. The Gospel is true and we appreciate having it in our lives. We are so grateful for a righteous heritage and for their faithfulness. May we be worthy of the sacrifices they made for the Gospel. We love each one of you. May we so live the Gospel that we can be a FOREVER FAMILY.
MUCH LOVE, PAPA & MIMI
