Dear Precious Family

How grateful we are for such a precious family. We appreciate your love and concern for us, and each member of the family. How grateful we are for the gospel of Jesus Christ and for all the blessings it brings. Looking back over the last 6 months many things have happened. Our sweet prophet Gordon B Hinckley passed away. He was such an inspired man. He is greatly missed by all the members of the church. Thomas S Monson is now our prophet. What a tremendous responsibility.

And now we have 6 grandsons serving in the mission field. How grateful we are they desire to go and were worthy to go. It is interesting to read their missionary letters and to hear of their success. Please write to them and feel their sweet spirit as they serve the lord.
You are able to read their missionary letters by clicking on the Haws Family Missionary Letters link on the side of this blog. The missionaries names will show up, and you can click on their name to view their letters!

Uncle Lewis passed away on the 25 of February. He lived a good life. He was bedfast the last few months of his life. So he was very ready to go. We had all of our 8 children together for that weekend; it was a fun, fast time together.

The last of March we took a California trip to visit Sheryl, Dennis, and Marshall. Pops wanted to drive… so we did. It was a great trip! I told pops that we needed to visit our California family so that our grandchildren would not say to their parents “Mom, Dad! Who did you say those old folks in the living room are?” It was fun reconnecting with them!

We enjoyed general conference and sustained our new prophet. We felt such a powerful spirit from their messages. I would like to get the CD’s of general conference so that I can hear their messages again.

We love each one of you. We pray for you each day for your… protection, for the spirit of our heavenly father to increase in your hearts and your homes. We are working for an eternal family. What a treasured concept. Keep in touch.
Much love, Papa & Mimi
