Mark & Kathleen Moffitt Family

Dear Family,

Time just keeps on flying, doesn't it? Here it is time for another newsletter already. Hope all is well with each of you. The Moffitt family is alive and well!!

Things here are busy with work, school, callings and mission preparation. Yep, you heard me! Matt and Ben have received their mission calls and we are really excited! Matt is going to the Australia Sydney North Mission, and Ben is going to the Mexico Leon Mission. They both report on January 30th. There is lots to do, but we are all excited to say the least. The AZ family was here for the grand opening, as well as many of their friends. Along with mission calls, many in our family celebrated birthdays this month, and we appreciated ALL the calls and cards, even those that came on October 22! We so appreciate all the love and support we feel from all our family members. We are soooooo blessed.

We continue to be busy with life. Mark just got called to the High Council, in addition to his call in the Stake Young Men Presidency. He is looking forward to this additional assignment. I am busy with my call as the Stake Young Women President. Last night was our first training meeting and it went well. It is nice to get some of the 'firsts' out of the way. It is fun to get to know the young women of the stake, as well as their leaders. Mark and I will get to see each other at some of the same meetings!

Matt and Ben continue to be busy with young adult life. In addition to mission preparation, they still enjoy basketball with friends, money that comes from working, writing to friends already on missions, late nights hanging out with friends, and sleeping in.

Bethany is busy with the high school life. She likes to have a busy social calendar, does well with her studies, enjoys playing the piano for fun, and bugging her dad.

Aaron is loving life at the junior high school; 7th grade is great. He loves campouts (his favorite being a 'caving' campout this past weekend), spending time with friends, playing piano and piano lessons, and serving in the deacon's quorum.

Our summer was filled with lots of fun trips. Matt and Ben went on a CA trip with a group of friends to Magic Mountain; thanks Aunt Sheryl and Uncle Kent. Bethany went to CA with Mimi and Papa; thanks Aunt Sheryl and Uncle Kent! Aaron went to summer camp with his scout troop, Bethany and I went to girls camp, and Mark, Aaron, Bethany and I went to Utah for Anthony's wedding; thanks Aunt Nancy! All in all it was a great summer!

We are blessed to be part of a great family. We love you and so appreciate all your love and support. This church is true and its such a great blessing to have a living prophet, President Hinckley, in this world of turmoil and strife. We love the Lord and are grateful for many blessings. We look forward to seeing you in the coming year.

Love, Mark, Kathleen, Matt, Ben, Bethany and Aaron
