James & Stacee Haws family

Dear Haws Families,

Greetings from WASHINGTON!! We made it to the one year mark in August. How the time has flown by. This past year has gone by faster than I thought. Seems like the past 6 months has been a blur; so much has happened! The summer was fast and very exciting! My parents visited for a few days in June; along with my brothers and their families. It was good to see family, like always, even if it was for my grandpa's funeral. Then July was here before I knew it and it was time for me to drive to Arizona and stay for about 4 weeks. The drive down was good. Kids did well. Seeing friends and family was a blast. We had lots of family dinners and parties and activities going on. Seeing Josh come home from his mission was fun. I got to see lots of extended family!! The kids enjoyed seeing old friends and they LOVED seeing their grandparents. They still ask to go to Papa's house, or Aunt La La's house!! Can you tell they had a great time?? James flew down in August and stayed for about a week. We had lots going on that week he was there. We had fun with family. Can't wait to start planning my next trip to Arizona! After we got home from our trip, we decided that James needed to fly down for Josh's wedding. At first we told him that he wasn't coming and then we decided it would be fun to "surprise" everyone and have James just show up for the wedding. So, that is what we did. For weeks we said that he wasn't coming. It was a hard secret to keep too. James flew down the day before the wedding and surprised his parents by just showing up at their house. They were TOTALLY surprised!! Our plan worked out great. We were glad James went.

It seems like the excitement never ends though. Right now we are in the process of trying to buy a house. It is taking longer than we would like. Since we still own our hose in Arizona, they are taking longer with our loan. We really don't know when we will move, but I know for sure that by the next time we do our Family Newsletter, we will for sure be in our house. We probably won't be moving until beginning December or beginning of January. Just cross your fingers that we get the house!!!

James is keeping busy with work. He is learning lots everyday it seems and he likes his job. He goes back and forth between days and nights, so we don't see him much at times. He does like having 7 days off each month though. It's kind of a different schedule, but now these days you can't complain. We are glad he had a good steady job! We are blessed that we found this job when we did. I continue to babysit, haven't been as busy and it has been nice. The girls are in school and are doing great. Kylie is in 4th and Alecia is in 2nd. Alecia is getting baptized this December and we look forward to having family come up for her special day. Zach is 4 and Jacee is 3. They are into EVERYTHING it seems. But they are doing well and we have all been healthy. If anyone is interested in seeing my blog, send me your email address ( I now have it private). s_haws@hotmail.com

We hope all are doing well. We hope everyone has a Happy Thanksgiving, a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. We miss all of our family. Can't wait until we see you again.

Love,

James, Stacee, Kylie, Alecia, Zach and Jacee Haws
