Joe & Tricia Moore

WOW!!! We can’t believe that another 6 months have come and gone. It seems like yesterday that I was writing this. It’s crazy how time will pass you by!

Joe and I have been very blessed these last six months. The first week in January, Joe was laid off by the company that he had worked for three years. They were cutting everything such as drive time, vacation, anything extra but sometimes the jobs that Joe was working on were like 1-2 hours away and we thought that wouldn’t be fair to not get paid for the drive. So we knew this wasn’t the company for him after all his “good friend” was starting to own the company and not his dad. But that’s a LONG story in its self! So we made things work. In March we planned a fast trip to Alabama. Joe was still unemployed and I am still working for his parents and had Spring Break with school so we planned a trip to Alabama. Yes we drove 24 hours straight but we saw my mom’s brother and his family in St. Louis and were there for 3 days. We watched my cousins play soccer! YAY! And then we headed to Birmingham for the next 9 days or so. We just wanted to relax and play catch up with everyone. Joe has made some amazing friends out there and we are grateful for all the families that let us stay and feed us. We had a great time seeing the sights and just relaxing with the families. In February Joe interviewed with 4 Home Control and the guy Mark was like give me a month or so and I’ll think about hiring you. So we left it at that and went on our trip to Alabama. But the Monday that we were getting ready to leave Mark called and was like I’d like to re-interview you tomorrow meaning Tuesday but we were still in Alabama. So Joe was like how about Wednesday. So on Wednesday he went for a re-interview with him and was like you are in the top 3, and he said he’d give us a call in a couple of days. So finally a week past and he called and was like “Let’s start you tomorrow!” This was really great! Joe really enjoys the new company and his boss is a really relaxed guy. His other co-work is Joel and now they hired Joe. So it’s been nice and he’s been great already about letting us have a movie night in the office’s theatre room. I think it was time for change and we have been blessed to get all the great things that we used to have. The three months were hard to get through but we prayed and worked together that something would come along and it did and we took a chance and it has worked great so far!

I am still working for Joe’s parents and things have been okay there. Things get busy and then they get slow. But right now I’m looking for something full time and away from the family owned business. But in May I’ll be 25 and I’ll graduate with my degree in Human Development and Family Studies. I’m still working on passing the Praxis in order to allow me to do the Early Childhood Program in the fall of 2010. This program will allow me to get my teaching license. With my teaching license I’ll be able to teach grades K-3. I didn’t want to teach any higher because then the kids would be taller than me. But I am still working on that and can’t wait to be done with that so I can teach for 1-2 years and then we’ll start our family.

But things are great and we couldn’t be happier right now. But we hope that things are great for everyone! We hope that spring or summer will come in Utah. It’s been snowing recently and it’s already April! But hopefully soon the warm weather will come! But we hope that everyone is well and strong and enjoying life!

Love Joe and Tricia
