Hello family!
Newsletter time again, it’s amazing how fast things seem to go! Last newsletter was in October and we’ve had much holiday fun and excitement! The kids were just old enough this year to get the concept of presents and somehow that really makes Christmas so much more magical! We celebrate 3 birthdays and Christmas all within 3 weeks for our little family, so the month of December is one big busy and exciting countdown! The new year has brought with it new exciting adventures for us. Jared Jr. will turn 5 and begins kindergarten in a couple of months. Connor just turned 3 and begins Pre-K soon and also just potty trained (something to truly celebrate over!). Rachel turned 1 and continues to grow and marvel us all by her smart and fun (sometime sassy) personality. The three of them are our little musketeers. They play wonderfully together all day and we love watching them be best of friends.
We are truly excited to announce that in July we will be graduating! Jared will have earned his Bachelor’s of Science in Information Technology of Software Engineering. Nicole will have earned her Bachelor’s of Science in Information Technology of Multimedia and Visual Communications. Our excitement is beyond words! Although Jared plans to continue his education for experience and eventually attain his Master’s, July feels like a big success for us. Until then we are trying to hang in there and make it through the last of the classes. Jared still works with University of Phoenix, although he’s keeping his eye open for any opportunity to move within Apollo group to apply his degree. We feel blessed to have a good job during this scary economical time. Jared continues to be the Ward Organist and Sunday School President while I get to serve on the Relief Society Enrichment Committee.
We recently just celebrated our 6 year anniversary. Time really does go fast! In some ways it doesn’t seem long ago that Jared just returned from his mission, but it’s hard to remember life before kids… Easter was exciting around our house. We got to color eggs for the first time with the kids and they had a blast! Rachel’s first time going into nursery was on Easter Sunday, an exciting and sad moment for me. I admit, I checked on her every 15 minutes! But, she loved it and played great with all the new kids and toys. Connor and Jared are both flourishing in primary. They love their new teachers and new friends. They are learning so many new songs, it’s really fun to watch them learn and grow so much! All is well with our little family and we hope to hear the same with everyone!
