Jason & Laurissa Haws Family

It's hard to believe that it's been 6 months since our last family updates. So many things have happened since the last family newsletter, I guess it's time to let everyone know how we are. Let's see, where do we begin? Well, I guess we'll just start with Jason and I then move on down the line.

---Jason is working for Patterson Dental Supply and umpires part time for the City of Mesa still. He's been at Patterson for 5 years now and enjoys his job...most of the times. This month marks his 3rd year umpiring for the city and he loves it. Those of you who know Jason, know that he's such a people's person. As of right now, he is in school through University of Phoenix, working towards his Bachelors in Criminal Justice and he's learning quite a lot already. He is one busy man! Between work, umpiring, and school we hardly see him, but that's what we get for him working so hard for his family. I am still at home with our two under kids, Preston and Alexis. I d> normal mom and wife duties like cleaning, cooking, and so on. I'm even watching my two sister's kids to help earn extra money for us and helping them out at the same time. When I'm not doing those things, I am trying to finish my 'Presidents and Prophets' book.

---Hunter is in all-day Kindergarten this year and he really enjoys it. He gets to ride the bus to and from school every day. He kind of gets upset if he misses the bus in the morning and Jason has to take him to school. He is doing awesome in school too. He's one of the top kids in his class and he behaves pretty good too, besides the talking to his friends during class time. He does his homework as soon as he gets home, then gets into trouble. His latest stunt made me very upset and I cried for a few days. One monday I sat down to edit one of Jason's papers for school and Hunter chopped Alexis' pony tails off that was on top of her head. At first I didn't notice but when I did, I was really upset and I started to cry. Poor little girl! Don't worry...he lived to tell about another day.

---Preston is doing great too. The day before Father's day,Preston was climbing up my aunt's pool slide ladder, slipped off and fell to the concrete. He ruptured his right ear drum and fractured the bone that runs> up against it. We spent that night and most of Father's Day at the Phoenix Children's Hospital. We had to see an Pediatric Neurosurgery for over a month and an E.N.T. as well. After all that drama was over with, we finally got Preston into Speech Therapy; the accident brought out his speech problems even more then before he fell. So Preston goes to Speech Therapy on Tuesday, Thursday, and Fridays from 12pm-4pm. He LOVES it. Sometimes when he's acting up, all I have to say is, 'You're not going to school anymore than", and then he stops. I never thought that I would actually say that to one of my kids...and it works. He's such a sweetie but he cracks me up sometimes.

---Alexis has entered into the terrible two's already. She actually flushed two small bubble containers down the toilet and got it clogged for a week, shoved a number of cd's into our computer tower and cd drives, colors all over my walls, climbs on anything and everything she can, and she picked up on the talking back...at age two. When the boys are playing in the dirt or water, she has to be outside with them doing the same thing. What a tom-boy! Don't get me wrong, she is a total princess when it comes down to it, and a daddy's girl. When she's in trouble, she cries for daddy and cares less for me. I guess that's the price I have to pay for having a girl. She is always willing to help us out with cleaning too. Hopefully she'll be the same way when we move.

---Yep...WE'RE MOVING!!! After 7 years of marriage, and 6 of those years living in Casa, we're moving into a house. It's about a mile or so from where we are now and right in between both of our parents. It's a 4 bed, 2 bath house, with a three car carport, a gated swimming pool, and a fireplace. It has lots of storage and lots of room for the kids to play. We are so excited. We don't plan on moving for a long time either, unless Jason gets a job out of state, of course.

---There's our family update for you. We hope you all enjoyed hearing about our little adventures. Until we see you again, we wish you all our best.
We love you!
