Delbert & Brooke Perry Family

Dear family,

Well, the biggest news so far this year is that we added a sweet new spirit to our family. Zachary Aldon Perry was born on August 21, 2008 in Logan, Utah. He was born at 8:15 p.m. and weighed 6 lbs. and 10 oz. We are so happy that is healthy and strong. He is growing quickly now and is two months old. He has started smiling and is such a happy baby. We love spending time with him and seeing his smile. He has had his first ear infection, however, but is now on antibiotics and feeling much better. Hopefully, he won't have chronic ear infections like Brooke did when she was little. We are blessing Zachary this upcoming Fast Sunday in November. Grandma Patti tries to come up when she has some free time to spend with Zachary and Madison. She helped a lot by staying up for a few days when he was born and we are very thankful for her.

Madison is loving school and doing well at it. She is trying new sports and activities this school year and has stopped doing karate and ballet. Madison is involved in volleyball, basketball, and orchestra. She likes volleyball better than basketball and soon she and Brooke will be able to play the violin together. Madison saw High School Musical 3 last night and absolutely loved it. She is a Hannah Montana/ High School Musical loving spy through and through. She enjoys mystery books and movies such as Nancy Drew and is an avid reader. Madison is going to be a pioneer this year for Halloween and Zachary is going to be a skeleton.

Brooke is enjoying teaching first grade at Fielding Elementary. She has 20 students in her class and the school is in a very small farming community so it is a tight knit crew. There is a lot going on this year for her in terms of trainings, observations, etc. She thought she was done with "school" but it is nice to learn new things and be involved with other teachers. Brooke and Delbert are still teaching the Sunday School to 12 and 13 year old members of their ward.

Delbert is still involved with heating and air conditioning. On his off days, he enjoys spending time with Zachary at home. He is going to be going back to school, but is having a tough time deciding between two careers. On the one hand he would love to be a police officer, but on the other he enjoys working with computers and could have a career in the area. Deer hunting season just started last Saturday and we were able to go up and camp and hunt with family. It was tons of fun and something we look forward to every year! He hasn't seen a deer yet (they seem to scarce), but hopefully he get something before the season closes. Believe it or not, he did find 10 newborn puppies at the top of the mountain and he carried them down to our campground. Then we took them to the Human Society so they would have a chance to live.

We love you and hope you all are well. We are so thankful for family and the blessings the Lord has provided for us. He truly watches over each and every one of His Children and loves us.

Love, Delbert, Brooke, Madison, and Zachary

P.S. The pictures are of us hunting and then Zachary and Madison when Zachary was born. Are they cuties?
