Dearest Family,
We made it through a very busy summer! May we made a visit to Amy & Mark in Florida. We had a great time! We went to the keys and it was quite an experience - hot & humid. We got to see their apartment and lots of beautiful scenery. The company was the best! We surely enjoyed Marks wonderful cooking. We also made our first trip to Greer to open. Was cool and fun. May is always interesting with recitals, end of the teaching year stuff and Robert busy with after taxes get caught up stuff. June was mostly spent getting ready for Stacee and children to visit and Joshua to come home. Stacee got to Mesa on the 22nd of July and Joshua arrived on the 27th. We all went to greet him at the Airport. What a special time it is when they come home. They are so changed, yet so much the same. It is wonderful to have him home.
The first part of August was spent “getting engaged”. We, that is Sheryl, Lorraine, Joshua and Erin made a quick trip to San Diego to accomplish this. It was a special time. Kent let us follow him home after their trip to Utah and Arizona and was a gracious host offering their home for our “mission”. Thanks Kent and Sheryl for all you do for our family! Then it was on to planning, piano starting, wedding and all that goes with that. Mind you, we still had to cope with a newly returned missionary and all that goes with that adjustment. He and Erin were both wonderful and worked very hard at helping with everything. Joshua of course was looking for a job and finally found two. He is working at Johnson Elementary as an Aid and also at Staples. We are just grateful he is working. It is really hard to find a job right now.
On the 24th Brayson James was born to Jason & Laurissa and family. He is so cute and a really good baby. No complications for either Mom or baby for which we are so grateful! Then on the 25th we added another daughter to our family. Papa Haws also turned 80 on the 23rd. That Saturday it was fun to celebrate that milestone. Thank you so much everyone for supporting us at the wedding. We were elated when James surprised us and came. Amy also made the trip with her family to be here. We had all five together for the first time since before Joshuas mission. It was wonderful to be together. Jared and Nicki are expecting grandchild number fourteen in December. We are so excited about that!
Robert is still Ward Mission Leader, and I am still teaching. We are now “official” empty nesters. I must say it is quiet at times and is not too bad. We made a trip to Greer over conference weekend and stayed in one of the White Mountain cabins down in Greer. We really enjoyed getting away and seeing the fall colors. We are looking forward to attending Alecias baptism the first weekend in December. It will be the first time Robert has been up there. We love our family and appreciate all you do to support each of our families!
We hope you are all well and happy. Thanks again for all your support and love.
