Hello everyone! Newsletter time again. It is truly crazy how time flies…(and I know everyone says that when it comes time for the Newsletter!) Things at the Brandon, Sharon, and Caden Mann household are zooming right along. That’s right, for those who don’t know, Sharon and I had our first little one in August. Caden is almost 3 months old now and growing like a weed. He went from 6 lbs to 13 lbs in the first 2 months. He loves to play with us and is smiling/laughing more and more each day. We are constantly smiling/laughing back at him because he is so funny. He happens to be the happiest right when he wakes up oddly enough. We are always racing to him when he wakes up from naps because we know we will be able to get some good laughs out of him. He loves to play patty cake and it is a sure bet you can get him to laugh when you “rooooooll it”. He is also starting to talk/coo a lot. We find him cooing and talking to himself as he swings in his favorite swing. Lately we watch him coo and talk and he continues to make himself smile. He will say something and then respond to himself with a massive smile. It is funny! He is a little studly Mann and we love him to death.
Sharon is now back working again. She is now the designated night owl. Working a couple nights a week has Sharon back on her toes again. She loves being a nurse and really loves working in the cardiac unit. She enjoys the fast pace and intense patients. She was truly made to be a nurse, and a night nurse for that matter. She enjoys the night shifts as they are a little different than days she says. She actually has been put as “Charge Nurse” ever since she went to nights. They like her work ethic so they put her in charge, woot! Go Sharon! Sharon absolutely loves being a mom. She loves to hold Caden and put him to sleep. He often gets a comfortable night sleep on the couch when Sharon falls asleep before he does. I wake up in the morning for work and find them both asleep on the couch, Caden on top of mom. (we have slowly been trying to wean Sharon and Caden from this habit.) Sharon and Caden love time together and you can tell that Sharon was meant to be a mom as well. She is so sweet and loving to Caden all the time. Caden is lucky to have Sharon as a mom and I am truly blessed to have her for a wife.
I (Brandon) continue to attend UAA and learn more and more about aviation. I love going to school now and can not wait to be a controller. I have learned that you can actually “love” school when you love what you are doing. All those lame semesters of biology and math are done for me, thank goodness. This semester has all been about aviation and controlling, and I love it. Caden keeps me smiling and I love him to death. He has a special happy side for his daddy. When I talk to him or when he sees me, he will calm right down or listen right away. I love it. Sharon and Caden are the loves of my life! I hope everyone is doing great, and if anyone wants to vacation in Alaska…Free lodging here in anchorage from the Mann Family Bed N’ Breakfast.
We love you all!
