Dear Precious Family:
We have been enjoying lovely spring weather, but it is ending fast. One day last week, we reached 100 and more is predicted this week. Good-bye spring and HELLO summer.
Kathleen and I flew to Salt Lake right after Thanksgiving to attend the funeral of Sylvia Dalton. We really hated to let her go, but she was so sick, it was a blessing. I said to Mike, "I am sure that you hated to let her go." His response was, "Yes, but she was so sick, it was a blessing." It was good to see the Dalton family. Great people, precious memories.
New Years we went to visit the Stewarts. The Moffitts went with us. We had a good trip. Had 1 day at Newport Beach. Fun! Fun!. Then New Year's Day Dennis and boys and Marshall with E.J. and Shiana came to the Stewarts after the Rose Parade. They spent the night. It was so good to see them. We enjoyed our time with the Stewarts.. Kent, Sheryl and Collin. A fun trip!
We had the great opportunity of going to Manteca to witness Jaxon's baptism on February 4th. A very special day. Jaxon we are very proud of you and the decision you made to be baptized. In the evening went to Loren Dalton's (about an hour from Marshall's) for a mini Haws- Dalton gathering. How fun to see part of the Dalton Clan. Lori Ethel and family and Mindy and famiy were there, plus the Loren Dalton family.
We celebrated our 59th Wedding Anniversary on February 24th. 59 YEARS with a Red Lobster dinner. Delicious and we enjoyed every bite. It's crazy! Where have the years gone??
Each month, the Haws brothers and their wives (Aunt Blanche.. Uncle Louis died a year ago.. Uncle Lyman and Aunt Marilyn, Uncle Henry and Aunt Edna, Pops and I) get together for lunch or dinner. We enjoy being together. Uncle Don and Aunt Jane live in Florida and so they can only join us when they are in Mesa.
We had to put in a new AIR CONDITIONER UNIT last week. The original unit was 16 years old and was past its prime. SOB! We hated to do it, but Pops likes his AIR COOL!
We appreciate our missionary grandsons..for the great service they are doing and they are faithful to write each week. We enjoy their letters. I write to them twice a month. They would enjoy hearing from you!
