Another Sunday is here. Get to Church you Heathens!!!
School is well in season and moving along.
Max – 9th grade, Zane – 6th grade, Duke 1st grade. Max is adjusting to high school life and is active basically every single weekend with school and church activities. He is loving his newly expanded social calendar. Zane has moved into the advanced courses at school – yet still finds time to impress the ladies! His recent birthday had 15 of his closest friends surprising him in T-shirts with Zane’s face screen printed on the front and covering him in piles of Silly String as they shouted “Surprise!”. Duke is in 1st grade and his second year of Mandarin Chinese. He likes school and is clearly influenced by his older brothers sense of style. During parent/teacher conference, the Mandarin teacher mentioned his “much good style – but not so much like other 1st graders”. Duke would be pleased – in his skinny jeans and skater tees, he aspires to be just like Max & Zane!
Today was a gorgeous day here in Redding. Mid 80’s, clear as a bell. You can see for miles and miles and miles…………….oh yeah. Where is the fall weather? I think that this weekend will be raining. Looks like rain on Halloween. Bummer for the kids.
As is everyone, we are too busy for words. It seems that there is not enough time in the day to get all the things that we need to do done.
Leah & I are working together @ Cornucopia Enterprises to keep the growth going. We have seen tremendous growth thus far and Leah has plans to take over the north state as the advertiser of choice – so far it seems to be working, so let’s just stay out of her way!
Dennis continues to consult with the Japanese – for now…we’ll see what next year brings. Maybe working with the Chinese??? In the meantime, Dennis has been working in a multitude of areas to keep the family business moving forward. From CFO to sales to real estate development to project development. He’s busy!
Summer vacation memories are fading but Magic Mountain was a big hit. Halloween is always a favorite holiday here and Leah and Dennis were super heroes from outer space for a Techno Dance party at the in-laws house this past Friday night. Dancing all night we put the couples half our age to shame. What can we say? We love to dance and we love to dress up for Halloween. Now we are planning for Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year’s Eve. We will probably stay around town and save the gas money. But feel free to spend your dollars and come on up for any holiday.
Hope that this newsletter finds you all well in your place in our world.
