Hello Haws Family! Hope this letter finds you all happy and well. We missed the last newsletter because we were in the middle of moving and having a baby… so we were kind of busy! So much has happened through all the holidays! We moved to a 4bed/2bath home in Chandler, AZ. We’re so excited to have a yard for our boys to play in now! We absolutely love our new ward and found ourselves surrounded by new friends. So this past couple of months have been very exciting for us! We moved from a ward where the majority of the members were elderly and there were only 2 other kids our kids age, Jared Jr was the only one in Sunbeams! It was a bit lonely over there, so this new ward has made such a huge difference for us and we’re so very grateful to have been led here.
Jared is still going strong at University of Phoenix both for work and school. He’s in the middle of the bachelor program for programming developing and so far enjoys it… Jared is both the ward organist and a teacher in the priesthood class. (Keep an eye out in the Beehive for an article on him, Robert and Papa…) Jared Jr. is in T-Ball right now. He absolutely loves it and is so stink’n cute in his little uniform! His new little best-buddy joined his team, so it’s been really fun for him. Jared Jr. decided to be completely potty trained a couple of months ago, so that’s been a pretty exciting achievement for us! Since moving to this ward, Connor has fallen in love with nursery. It’s been really exciting to see him just blossom socially and he’s talking so well now. Connor is especially protective of his new sister Rachel. Their favorite thing these days is to go on bike rides around, around and around the block some more. It’s nice, I enjoy that time with them. This past winter has been particularly difficult on my family being sick. Jared Jr has had the flu twice and his asthma has been pretty bad with the allergies as bad as they are. Speaking of allergies, Jared has suffered some pretty bad allergies this season as well. He’s actually trying acupuncture and herbs right now to get them under control. Connor has had the flu as well and we just found out a couple of months ago that he too has asthma. So, it’ll be nice when everything stops blooming! J Rachel has been an absolute joy to our family! It’s been a pretty smooth adjustment to moving and adding a new member to the family. Rachel is 5 months now, she just started rolling over a couple of weeks ago. She is all smiles and coos. She really is just so much fun- we call her our little princess! Nicki, that’s me, is starting school this month with UoP too. I’ve finally decided to pursue an IT degree as well in Visual Communications. I’m actually looking forward to finishing my degree and I’m doing it online so I don’t have to leave the kids. I got called to be in the Ward Preparedness Committee and also on the Enrichment Committee over Self Preparedness. So, needless to say, with all the changes going on we’ve been kept pretty busy, and we love it! We have been very blessed and are grateful to be here. We just want to tell all the missionaries that we’re so proud of you and pray for your safety and success! We love you all!
