Nancy Mann & Family

Hello to You Wonderful Family-
The Mann household is growing smaller by the minute and the rooms are crying out for company. (Maybe it's just me crying because I am already missing everyone!) I'm not ready for the empty nest syndrome but ready or not here it is. I knew this time would come but not this fast!
Jenn just moved home so that it wouldn't be so lonely for Kayla and I when Corey and Skyler leave. She was just promoted to Lead Supervisor which means she is on call 24/7 to hear from parents, co-workers or anyone who has an emergency. She is armed with a work phone and has to have it on at all times which means that she gets interrupted sleep or early mornings quite often. She is loved by the staff and the girls who can count on Jenn to make things better. It can be overwhelming at times, especially with the promotion, but she thinks she'll love the salary!
Corey has just officially ended his job and is working for the Big Cheese now, ME! He has a big list of things needing to be fixed, cleaned, repaired or painted which he is so excited to accomplish. He and Skyler are purchasing missionary supplies a little at a time and are looking forward to ALL the company that will be coming to their Nov 25th Farewell! Corey comments daily about the cold weather of the Baltic and is looking forward to wearing one of those big Russian hats and dancing like they do. We're not quite sure what they can eat or drink over there so it will be interesting to say the least.
Skyler has officially left his job and he too will be added to the payroll at the Mann House. He is looking forward to Dec 5th when he will officially become Elder Mann and will be joining the ranks of "The Great 8 Missionary Force" serving the nations of the earth in Belgium/Netherlands. He is excitedly looking forward to the Belgium waffles and chocolate which Corey wants him to ship to the Baltic. His eating will be much better than Corey so we'll see how their looks change in 2 years! It is exciting to have 2 missionaries out in the field sending blessings back home to the rest of us.
Kayla just returned from the Shakespeare festival in Cedar City and loved the experience. She has been cast as the lead in her 9th grade play and is looking forward to her debut but learning the script has proved to be challenging. She continues to improve on the piano and now plays for YW on occasion and hopefully for Sacrament mtg. soon, right Kayla???!!! She is officially as tall as Mom which makes me the only one that is looked down on in our family.
I continue to enjoy life and love to see the change taking place for Fall as the leaves change and the weather cools. I enjoy working with the YW in our ward because they keep me young or will make me old very quick. I guess the latter holds true.
We are greatly blessed to be a part of this wonderful family and hope to see some of you next month. Have a great holiday season and remember the reason for the season!
Love, Nancy and Family
