Hi Family! Greetings from sunny South Florida! We hope that this newsletter finds everybody happy and doing well.
We are all doing great! Mark has been very busy at work lately due to food recalls and a major boil water notice in West Palm Beach.
Thank goodness the boil water notice didn't affect us where we live, but some people did get very sick in the area that was affected. The water was tested and found positive for food and human feces. They couldn't shower, brush their teeth, cook their food, or wash their food, dishes or clothes with the water. It was hard for many people, and some businesses had to shut down for over a week. Mark had to go around and make sure businesses weren't serving recalled food or serving the water that was supposed to be boiled. So he has been pretty busy with that lately. Also, catering season starts soon with the holidays coming, so he will be busy with catering private parties. He also continues to be a wonderful husband and Dad. He adores his little girl and it's so very
cute.
Amy has been busy as well. She continues to work at a Pediatric office since June. She loves it very much. It's so much fun being around the Mom's and kids and seeing the newborn babies coming into the office. It's a new field for her and it has been fun, so far. Being a mother of two small kids always comes first and keeps her on her toes. It's hard being a working mother of two, and at times it's very challenging and has taken some getting used to. But she's getting the hang of it. School has also been something that Amy has wanted to
get back into finishing. So after much thought and consideration as to what to do, she has decided to go to school for Radiology instead of Nursing. She will start school part time in January and is very, very excited about it. Nervous, but excited!
Ayn is having a wonderful time in Kindergarten! He is doing very well. We had a rough start and some attitude problems, but he has been doing very, very well. His progress report was impressive and he is showing great work with his writing and reading. He is taking cooking class every Tuesday after school, Tapp/Jazz class every Wednesday after school, and he is in his third year in piano and has that every Friday after school. Even though it's been two years since the divorce from his dad, it still is hard to balance our time together. He is lucky, though, to be able to see his dad everyday after school and every other weekend. He doesn't get as much time with his dad as he would like and it's hard sometimes, but we are dealing with it day by day. He's a good kid and is so cute and loveable. We are very lucky to have him in our family.
Jaden is almost 17 months and still doesn't have one tooth! We have been waiting and waiting and waiting and NO teeth! We have had a hard time with her health lately. She has had this very bad congestion and bad cold for over two months now and we have seen the doctor several times. She was on every antibiotic you could think of and nothing seemed to work. Poor thing went through so much. She got an antibiotic injected into her body with a shot three days in a row, didn't work. So we went to see a specialist. She ended up having the tubes put in her ears. That was not a fun day. We thought that was the cure all. NO. She ended up getting a double ear infection a week later and a very bad runny nose and conjunctivitis in both her eyes. It was horrible. We had to go back to the specialist to get the infection sucked out of her ears with a suction thing. It was horrible. We then went to the pediatrician and he sent us to the hospital for Jaden to be tested for RSV.That was negative. Then we took her to the allergy specialist and put her through allergy testing. That was not fun to see her back full of dots and getting red and some were bleeding. Not fun. The allergy testing was negative. No allergies. So she was put back on to a 30 day antibiotic, eye drops and ear drops. This has been very challenging for us financially and emotionally. But we are getting through it day by day. She is happy and doesn't seem to be affected much by this cold. She is slowly getting
better. She is walking and babbling. She loves to walk! It's so very cute. We are so lucky to have her as our daughter. And she is so beautiful and still looks like my mom.
We love and miss you all. We hope you are all doing well and please know that we love you so much!
